Our Mission

The mission of Hope Church is to love God, love others, and to magnify the name of Jesus Christ.
Our Vision

OUR BELIEF & AFFILIATION

The Bible is our all-sufficient rule for faith and practice. This Statement of Fundamental Truths is intended simply as a basis of fellowship among us (i.e., that we all speak the same thing, I Cor. 1:10; Acts 2:42). The phraseology employed in this Statement is not inspired or contended for, but the truth set forth is held to be essential to a full gospel ministry. No claim is made that it contains all Biblical truth, only that it covers our need as to these fundamental doctrines.

We are affiliated with the Assemblies of God. This affiliation enables us to participate with thousands of Churches worldwide in our united efforts to bring Jesus to the world. Working together creates many more opportunities for effective ministry than any one church
could do on it's own.

We believe that the local church should be accountable within the Kingdom of God for the purposes of providing doctrinal stability as well as Spiritual and financial integrity. Hope Church Newport News is part of the fellowship of the General Council of the Assemblies of God, founded in 1914 and headquartered in Springfield, Missouri
.

While our affiliation is with the Assemblies of God, we are committed to partnering with other ministry organizations in the Hampton Roads Area. We believe that God is using many groups in this area to share His love. And the work He is doing in Hampton Roads is bigger than any one local church. Together, we will reach Hampton Roads with the love of Jesus Christ!

Let's Do Life Together!

42 And they continued steadfastly in the apostles’ [n] doctrine and fellowship, in the breaking of bread, and in prayers. 43 Then fear came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were done through the apostles. 44 Now all who believed were together, and had all things in common, 45 and [o] sold their possessions and goods, and divided [p] them among all, as anyone had need.
46 So continuing daily with one accord in the temple, and breaking bread from house to house, they ate their food with gladness and simplicity of heart, 47 praising God and having favor with all the people. And the Lord added [q] to the church daily those who were being saved." Acts 2:42-47
