Purposefully Equip believers for Christian service.
And relentlessly Engage our community."
Our Vision The vision of our Church is to glorify our God and Savior, Jesus Christ, to make disciples throughout all the nations by means of missionary activity and support, to minister the Word, to edify believers, and to do all that is possible and biblically permissible to magnify the name of Jesus.
OUR BELIEF & AFFILIATION
The Bible is our all-sufficient rule for faith and practice. This Statement of Fundamental Truths is intended simply as a basis of fellowship among us (i.e., that we all speak the same thing, I Cor. 1:10; Acts 2:42). The phraseology employed in this Statement is not inspired or contended for, but the truth set forth is held to be essential to a full gospel ministry. No claim is made that it contains all Biblical truth, only that it covers our need as to these fundamental doctrines.
We are affiliated with the Assemblies of God. This affiliation enables us to participate with thousands of Churches worldwide in our united efforts to bring Jesus to the world. Working together creates many more opportunities for effective ministry than any one church could do on its own.
We believe that the local church should be accountable within the Kingdom of God for the purposes of providing doctrinal stability as well as Spiritual and financial integrity. Hope Church Newport News is part of the fellowship of the General Council of the Assemblies of God, founded in 1914 and headquartered in Springfield, Missouri.
While our affiliation is with the Assemblies of God, we are committed to partnering with other ministry organizations in the Hampton Roads Area. We believe that God is using many groups in this area to share His love. And the work He is doing in Hampton Roads is bigger than any one local church. Together, we will reach Hampton Roads with the love of Jesus Christ!
We Are A Family At Hope Church We emphasize Bible-based teaching, with a church environment that is suitable for every member of your family. And if you're interested in visiting, we will save you a seat. There's always a place for you at Hope Church.
