​Who are we?
Our co-op began in 2021 with a small group of parents who sought more for their children and were dissatisfied with the current state of public schools. We opened our doors to meet a need that has been and continues to grow in Hampton Roads. We are a church that seeks to offer solutions to the problems many face in educating their children. Our co-op is an opportunity for children and parents to work together towards their educational goals. Parents volunteer to teach classes and support the homeschool journey each year. Our co-op is a place where parents actively participate in their child's learning, and children receive the care and attention they need to excel in their education. Our student-to-teacher ratio is kept low, allowing us to better meet each student's individual educational needs. We typically start the week after Labor Day and continue through Easter, and we conclude our school year in early May with a graduation or end-of-year ceremony.

What type of homeschool co-op is Hope for Tomorrow? 
Hope for Tomorrow is a parent-led co-op where Moms (or Dads) volunteer for 2 hours and attend a support group for 1 hour. Some parents do not enjoy teaching, so there are various roles available, such as nursery, Preschool, support group, classroom assistant, lunchroom, or floater (substitute). We want our parents to be comfortable and enjoy attending every week! However, if God has blessed you with a gift or talent, please consider using it by teaching one of the classes.

What does our Co-op Day look like? 
We will promptly begin as one group in the Sanctuary at 10:00 am with devotion, prayer, and announcements. The Nursery/Preschool/Kindergarten parents/teachers are dismissed by the elementary, middle, and high schoolers. 

At the end of the day, our children will be dismissed from the Sanctuary. Moms will need to pick up children aged 0-3 from the nursery.

Each Tuesday will follow a consistent schedule. It's a busy day, but so fulfilling. I recall the years as a Mama to many little kids, and I attribute my survival to the co-op support group I attended every week. Just a few minutes to sit without a kid, drink coffee, enjoy a snack, pray, grow closer to Christ, and share our hearts with other moms.
